BACKGROUND I started kiteboarding in 2001 with a homemade PVC bar, Victoria skimboard and 3-meter Prism foil kite. After my first 5 mile downwinder, I was hooked (well, unhooked since I didn’t have a harness at the time, but you get the idea). During the long walk back up the beach, I felt that no matter what happened I needed to find a way to be a part of this new, insane sport.

It wasn’t until fall 2005 that I started editing footage of friends kiteboarding as a way to keep myself sane through a long injury. Editing led to a business plan, a new camera and eventually the company known today as Cineaptic Digital Media. CDM specializes in all forms of digital media production, including HD video acquisition, color grading, editing, motion graphics, photography and design.
