Got Snow?
The Slider Project, 2nd Wind Sports and IPS Skate Shop team up to bring snow, steel and steez to the Hood River sandbar. For this one we pretty much made the impossible possible. Our mission: take two dump trucks donated by Kerr Construction up to Timberline where a park crew will utilize heavy machinery to load 40 cubic yards of the white stuff. Drive the precious cargo an hour down the hill to the Hood River sandbar. Utilize the 2nd Wind, REAL Kiteboarding and IPS Skate crews to lay down carpet, PBRs, a drop ramp and a 30 foot box. Don shovels and additional PBRs to offload snow for barely adequate coverage over carpet, jagged rocks, drop ramp and tranny. Setup the camera, lay down a dolly (and maybe some more PBRs) and let the fun begin. Piece of cake.
